A Korean doctor once conducted an experiment on a group of elderly women. Forty-three people went for a walk in the woods for an hour and 19 people walked in the city. They found that people who walked in the woods had significantly lower blood pressure and improved arterial elasticity. Instead, they walked in cities. A group of physical conditions did not change. A Japanese study showed that walking in the woods can lower blood pressure, heart rate, and stress hormones.
